South Korean police will consider arresting members of the presidential security service if they try to block investigators in their next attempt to execute an arrest warrant for impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol, the Yonhap news agency cited police as saying on Monday (January 6, 2024).

On Friday (January 3, 2024), investigators leading a criminal investigation into whether Mr. Yoon instigated insurrection by declaring martial law failed to execute an arrest warrant in his official residence.
