Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.
Since they don’t stretch and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d choose the larger option.
Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. I recommend wearing no-shows, especially since they reduce sweat. High-end Italian leather construction, so it’s much more comfortable than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already distressed so your feet just adjust easily.
Do they hold up well?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the structure feels strong. Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose still come out on top. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Also, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.
Would you recommend them?
Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They cost a lot, so getting them with a promo is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I chose a loud pair, but a neutral version would also be smart.
