T. R. Ranganathan

T.R. Ranganathan (91), former assistant editor (Sports Desk) of The Hindu, who served the organisation for 32 years, passed away here on Tuesday.
He is survived by his wife, son and daughter. Cremation will take place at Besant Nagar on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
TRR, as he was fondly called, mentored quite a few young journalists. Recently, the Sports Journalists’ Federation of India and the Tamil Nadu Sports Journalists’ Association honoured him with a memento for his meritorious service.
