Two boys drowned in the Doramamidi project (Jalleru project) in Buttaigudem mandal of Eluru district on Sunday.
The incident occurred when the victims, Shaik Siddiqi (10) and Shaik Abdul (8), went to the project to take a bath. The two accidentally fell into the waters and drowned, the locals said.
The Buttaigudem police deployed swimmers and retrieved the bodies. A case has been registered and investigation is on.
