In a gruesome incident, a youth allegedly attacked a 25-year-old woman with a surgical blade, inflicting a deep cut on her throat in Nirmal town on Friday (January 17, 2025) evening.
According to sources, the incident occurred at Sofi Nagar in the district headquarters town of Nirmal. Divya, a resident of Sofi Nagar suffered a grievous bleeding injury on her throat in the attack allegedly by Santosh of the same residential colony.
Santosh allegedly borrowed a hand loan from Divya’s family members a couple of months ago. When Divya insisted on repayment of the loan amount, Santosh turned furious and attacked her with the surgical blade, before fleeing, sources added.
A grievously injured Divya was rushed to a local hospital.
