Two sites shortlisted for Bengaluru’s second airport: Minister M.B. Patil


Two sites have been shortlisted for Bengaluru’s proposed second airport and it will be sent to the Airport Authority of India before February 17, Industries Minister M.B. Patil said on Saturday.

The Minister said that the selection will be based on merit and and will not be a political decision. There are indications that the State government is considering Nelamangala and Kanakapura Road as possible sites for the second airport.

“We have shortlisted two sites and had one round of briefing with Chief Minister. We will have another round of briefing,” said the Minister.
