Three persons, who entered the sea for taking a dip at Pakala beach in Singarayakonda mandal in Prakasam district, drowned in the sea on Thursday (January 16).
The Marine police and the villagers launched a search for three more persons, who were carried away by the high tides.
The victims, identified as Yamini, Jessica and Madhav, were natives of Kandukur and Ponnalur mandals in the district, the locals said. The bodies have been retrieved and search is on for the others. More details are awaited.
