National-level Lok Adalat in Villupuram and Kallakurichi on March 8

The District Legal Services Authority will organise a national Lok Adalat in all courts in Villupuram and Kallakurichi districts on March 8.

Villupuram district legal services authority chairperson and Principal District Judge A. Manimozhi said special sittings would be held at courts in the combined court complex in Villupuram and courts in Kallakurichi, Gingee, Tindivanam, Tirukoyilur, Ulundurpet, Sankarapuram, Vanur, Vikravandi and Tiruvennainallur.

According to a press release, cases with elements of settlement, including those relating to matrimonial disputes, property disputes, motor accident claims, land acquisition, cheque bounce cases, bank loans, education loans would be taken up.

The amicable arbitration through Lok Adalat will lead to expeditious resolution of long-pending litigations. It will also lead to refund of court fees besides providing an amicable resolution for parties concerned.
