Gastroenterologist bags clinical excellence award

The Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) recently conferred Chennai-based interventional gastroenterologist T.S. Chandrasekar with the ISG-Dr. Balakrishnan Clinical Excellence Award. Dr. Chandrasekar is the chairman and chief interventional gastroenterologist of MedIndia Hospitals. The ISG is a national professional medical institution with over 3,500 members. Dr. Chandrasekar received the award on Wednesday. The award has been instituted in memory of V. Balakrishnan, a doyen of gastroenterology.
