Annamayya district Collector Sridhar Chamakuri on Saturday instructed the officials concerned to initiate strict measures for the smooth conduct of the Intermediate Public Examinations, scheduled from March 1 to 20 at 49 centres. 28,602 students, including 2,156 vocational students, are set to appear in the examinations.

The Collector chaired a a coordination meeting here, attended by senior officials, and reviewed the key arrangements. The examinations will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and students have been informed to be present at the examination centres half an hour early.

Special teams will be formed to check any malpractices, while Section 144 will be imposed at all the centres. He directed the Education Department and police officials to ensure that the photostat centres in the vicinity of the examination centres remain closed. The students were also barred from carrying with them any digital or electronic devices.

The Collector directed the officials to thoroughly monitor the centres, ensure that they were equipped with uninterrupted power supply, and provided with drinking water facilities. The district Medical and Health Department officials were told to keep ready necessary medications at the examination halls. The Collector said that a coordination meeting will also be held with the APSRTC officials to arrange special buses for the students appearing in the examination, with a focus on rural areas.
