SEIL Energy India Limited (SEIL), the Nellore-based independent power producer, has announced the observance of National Fire Service Fortnight from Monday, April 28, 2025. The company conducts various activities, including fire safety drills, training sessions, awareness programmes on fire prevention and mitigation, and inspections of fire safety equipment and infrastructure.
Raghav Trivedi, CEO of SEIL, said, “We prioritise the safety and well-being of our employees, stakeholders and the community. During this National Fire Service Fortnight, we reaffirm our commitment to fire safety and prevention, ensuring a secure environment for everyone. This observance highlights the importance of fire safety and fire prevention measures in our daily lives.”
Every year, 14th April is observed as the National Fire Service Day to pay homage to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on 14th April 1944 at the Bombay Dockyard while saving precious lives and property from the raging fire. The theme of this year is ‘Unite to Ignite, a Fire Safe India’.
SEIL has a 2.64 GW supercritical thermal power generation complex located in Nellore. The initiatives during this fortnight aim to promote a culture of safety and preparedness within the organisation and beyond. Sunil Kumar Gupta, Head (Operations and Maintenance), department heads and employees participated in the event and paid homage to the martyrs.
