First glimpse of ‘Khalifa’

Malayalam superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran celebrated his birthday with a special gift for fans — the first glimpse of his highly anticipated film Khalifa. Titled The Bloodline, the teaser was unveiled on Monday and offers a peek into one of next year’s biggest action spectacles.
Directed by Vysakh, Khalifa features Prithviraj as Aamir Ali, a character introduced in the promo as “the invincible.” The teaser opens with a blood-soaked fight sequence filmed in London.
Sharing the poster on social media, Prithviraj wrote, “A revenge forged by a lineage that spans generations! Next Onam… Aamir Ali will write his vengeance in gold! #KHALIFA – The Ruler.”
The film marks a reunion between Prithviraj and director Vysakh, who previously collaborated on the 2010 hit Pokkiri Raja. Vysakh, known for his blockbuster Pulimurugan, teams up once again with writer and producer Jiinu Abraham, who has worked with Prithviraj on Kaapa, Adam Joan, and Kaduva. The project, produced under Jiinu Abraham Innovation, began filming earlier this year and has already created buzz for its slick production and visuals.
The film’s technical team includes composer Jakes Bejoy, known for Ranam and Ayyappanum Koshiyum, and cinematographer Jomon T. John.
Set for release during the Onam festival next year, Khalifa is shaping up to be a high-stakes tale of vengeance, power, and legacy. Before its release, Prithviraj will also be seen in Vilayath Buddha and I, Nobody, both scheduled to hit theatres in the coming months.
