Two-time World Champion Nikhat Zareen registered a 4:1 win against Uttar Pradesh’s Rashi Sharma in the 48–51kg category in the Elite Women’s Boxing Tournament here on Friday.
Meanwhile, Haryana’s Anjali caused an upset on the opening day when she got the better of World Championships bronze medallist Manisha Moun 3:1 in the 57-60 kg category.
2023 world champion Nitu’s 5:0 win (45–48kg) against Rajani Singh (UP) and host Telangana’s Yashi Sharma defeating 5:0 defeat of Tamil Nadu’s K. Monisha in the 60–65kg category were among the other notable results.
