Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh on Wednesday informed that the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will lay the foundation stone for Gandikota project in YSR Kadapa district on August 1. The project is being implemented at a cost of ₹78 crore under the Swadesh Darshan scheme with the support of the Central government.
The Minister said that to promote the State tourism, the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) will organise an exhibition at Udaipur in Rajasthan on August 2 and 3. The platform will also be utilised to invite and engage aspiring investors and entrepreneurs to contribute to the development of tourism in the State.
He said that as part of the efforts to attract investors into the tourism sector in the State, a two-day partnership summit would be organised in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15. A Cabinet sub-committee had been formed for the purpose with the HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh at its helm, himself, and other members. “The aim is to attract investors across various sectors in A.P.,” he said.
