Mother, child rescued from suicide bid

The Yadamari police rescued a 25-year-old woman and her three-year-old son from a suicide attempt at the Tirupati railway tracks on Saturday evening. The woman, from Rasool Nagar in Yadamari mandal, had left home following family disputes and shared distressing photos with her father, suggesting a possible suicide bid. On receiving the complaint, the police traced her location using mobile tracking, established contact and alerted the Tirupati Railway Police, who rescued the duo. They were later counselled and reunited with their family. Chittoor SP V.N. Manikanta Chandolu commended the Yadamari police for their prompt joint operation.
