Basketball superstar LeBron James has turned 41 today. The four-time NBA champion continues to defy his athletic limits on the basketball court. While the average NBA-career lasts about 4.5 years, LeBron, however, marks one of the longest careers and has maintained his elite performance for more than two decades now. Let’s explore LeBron James’ fitness philosophy that helps him maintain his high level performance. The Netflix documentary “Staring Five’ gives glimpses of a typical game day for James. The day starts by waking up at 6:30 am. By 8:30 he arrives at the training facility. At 8:45, he does cold plunges for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. This is followed by team shootaround and workouts. For James, a 2 hour interval from 12pm to 2:00 is reserved for his nap. Then, practicing and warming up for the match from 2:30 to 7pm. He takes a massage and stretching treatment in between.
