The southern region Vichara Sadas of Samskara Sahithi, the cultural wing of the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), will be held at Karmasadan Pastoral Centre, Alappuzha on October 5 and 6.
The camp will be inaugurated by All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary K.C. Venugopal, MP, at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday. Around 350 delegates from Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, and Alappuzha districts are expected to participate.
Prominent personalities, including CPI(M) leader G. Sudhakaran, Congress leader Kodikunnil Suresh, MP, writer Kalpatta Narayanan, scriptwriter Renji Panicker, actor Mallika Sukumaran and others, will interact with the delegates over the two days.
The valedictory session will be inaugurated by Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala, MLA, at 3 p.m. on October 6.
As part of the decisions taken at the State camp held at Charalkunnu in August, Samskara Sahithi is organising regional camps in three zones across the State.
Sahithi chairman C.R. Mahesh, MLA, said the camps would discuss contemporary political, social, artistic, cultural, and literary topics. The events will be conducted strictly in accordance with the green protocol.
The central zone camp and the northern zone camp will be held later this month in Ernakulam and Kozhikode, respectively, he added.
