Palestinian militant group Hamas said the Israeli attack that targeted its leaders in Doha on Tuesday (September 9, 2025) would not alter the group’s terms on ending the war in Gaza.
Hamas official Fawzi Barhoum, in a televised speech on Thursday (September 11, 2025), said the attack targeted its negotiation delegation while they were discussing U.S. President Trump’s ceasefire proposal.
“This crime was… an assassination of the entire negotiation process,” Mr. Barhoum said during a televised press conference.
“We affirm that the U.S. administration is a full accomplice in this crime,” he added.
Qatar condemned the attacks, which it described as a “cowardly” Israeli strike targeting residential buildings housing members of the Palestinian militant group Hamas’ political bureau.
