‘Stree 2’ box office collection day day 26: The Rajkummar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor starrer sees a drop on fourth Monday after beating ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Pathaan’ | Hindi Movie News – Times of India
‘Stree 2‘ is almost about to complete a month of its release now. The film has entered its fourth week in style with a very good weekend as it collected around Rs 18 crore net in India as a combined number from its 4th Saturday and Sunday. But on day 26, which is its fourth Monday, the film has seen a major drop and looks like now that will continue gradually.
It’s quite a big deal for a film to run in theatres successfully today even for a week, but here ‘Stree 2’ is about to complete a month. Now it’s obvious that the numbers will go down gradually, which has begun. Yet, it collected Rs 3.25 crore on its fourth Monday, according to Sacnilk, which is still a very good number as compared to many other movies. The total collection of ‘Stree 2’ so far is Rs 530.50. With this, ‘Stree 2’ is now the second highest grossing Hindi movie ever, after ‘Jawan‘ which is on the number 1 spot. With this, ‘Stree 2’ beats ‘Gadar 2‘, ‘Pathaan‘. Time will tell if it will be able to conquer the collections of ‘Jawan’ which is more than Rs 600 crore net in India.
This week, one sees the release of Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer ‘The Buckingham Murders’ and Kangana Ranaut ‘Emergency’ is also set to release now. The film was supposed to release last week but was stuck with the censor board, hence ‘Stree 2’ got another open weekend to weave its magic but now from this Friday onwards, it may face competition from both these movies.
‘Stree 2’ also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Aparshakti Khurrana apart from Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao. The film is directed by Amar Kaushik.
