Actor Sonakshi Sinha has strongly responded to Mukesh Khanna’s recent remarks, where he criticized her father, veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha, for her inability to answer a question about the Ramayana on Kaun Banega Crorepati 11.
The incident dates back to 2019 when Sonakshi struggled to identify for whom Hanuman brought the Sanjeevani booti in the Ramayana. Mukesh Khanna, in a recent interview, blamed Shatrughan Sinha, claiming he had failed to teach his daughter about Indian mythology.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Sonakshi issued a pointed yet respectful statement. She accused Mukesh of repeatedly bringing up the same incident for attention.

Sonakshi explained that her inability to answer was due to a momentary “blank out,” calling it a “human tendency.” She urged Mukesh to “forgive and forget,” referencing Lord Ram’s values of compassion and forgiveness. “If Lord Ram could forgive Manthara, Kaikeyi, and even Ravan, surely you can let go of this extremely small thing,” she added.
Concluding her statement, Sonakshi warned Mukesh against commenting on her upbringing and values instilled by her father. “It’s because of those values that I have responded respectfully, despite your distasteful remarks,” she said.
