After her big appearance at the Oscars last year, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone is set to turn presenter at the upcoming BAFTA awards.
The actress, who will next be seen on screen in the magnum opus ‘Kalki 2898 AD‘, will hand out the golden mask on Sunday, February 18, Variety reported. She will join a starry lineup of celebrities including David Beckham, Cate Blanchett and Dua Lipa.
Joining them on stage through the ceremony will be stars like Adjoa Andoh of ‘Bridgerton’ fame, Hugh Grant who was seen in ‘Wonka’ and ‘Emily in Paris’ star Lily Collins. Others confirmed to be a part of the big awards show, include ‘The Crown’ stars Emma Corrin and Gillian Anderson, Himesh Patel and Idris Elba.Although it has not been confirmed which celebrity will hand out trophies for which category, The Rising Star Award will be presented by former winners Emma Mackay and Jack O’Connell. Phoebe Dynevor, Ayo Edebiri, Jacob Elordi, Mia McKenna-Bruce, and Sophie Wilde are all in the running this year.
The BAFTA Film Awards are set to take place on Sunday night at the Royal Festival Hall in London. Attendees will include ‘Saltburn’ star Barry Keoghan, ‘Maestro’ actors Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan, ‘Oppenheimer’ actor Cillian Murphy and directors Greta Gerwig, Christopher Nolan, Celine Song and Yorgos Lanthimos.

Last year, Deepika attended the Oscar to announce the special ‘Naatu Naatu’ dance performance at the awards show. The song eventually went on to win the Academy Award for the Best Song.
