‘Fateh’ star Sonu Sood who is often hailed for his humble nature and philanthropic work, has found himself embroiled in a controversy. The actor who usually makes headlines for his service to the community is once again in the news and this time unfortunately is not for the right reasons. Reports claim that Ludhiana’s Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur has issued an arrest warrant against Sonu Sood. The actor is facing this legal turbulence because he allegedly skipped testimony in a fraud case.
According to various news reports, the warrant was sent to Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai’s Andheri West, and it instructed the officials to arrest Sonu Sood and present him in court.
“Sonu Sood, has been duly served with summon(s) or warrant(s) but he/she has failed to attend (absconds and keeps out of the way for the purpose of avoiding service of a summon(s) or warrant(s)). You are hereby ordered to arrest and bring the said Sonu Sood before the Court,” mentioned an India Today’s report quoting the magistrate’s court order.
“You are hereby directed to return this warrant on or before 10-02-2025 with an endorsement certifying the day on and the manner in which it has been executed, or the reason why it has not been executed,” it read.

According to the report, the case has been filed by Ludhiana’s lawyer, Rajesh Khanna. His case states an individual Mohit Shukla defrauded him of Rs 10 lakh. His allegations say he was lured to invest in a fake Rijika coin and Sonu was to testify in the case.
The magistrate has authorized an arrest warrant for the actor due to his disregard for the summons. It has been reported that the following hearing for the case is scheduled for February 10.
