An exhibition at the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS 2025) was opened on Friday (February 21), showcasing the State’s industrial growth, opportunities, and investment potential. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who opened the expo, was accompanied on his visit to the pavilions by Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal and other State ministers.
Industrial sectors ranging from traditional industries to start-ups focused on future technologies are part of the show. The two-day summit features 105 stalls. The exhibition showcases 22 priority sectors of Kerala and captures the essence of diverse opportunities available to investors in the State.
“The exhibition illustrates the industrial landscape of Kerala as anticipated by the investor community,” said P. Rajeeve, Minister for Industries, Law and Coir. Micro, small and medium enterprises contributing to the State’s industrial growth include those in food processing, manufacturing and rubber sectors. Ayurveda and healthcare sectors encompass a wide range of products, including traditional massage tables, Ayurveda travel kits, and health food.
The indigenously built aircraft carrier INS Vikrant, a symbol of national pride, greets visitors at the Cochin Shipyard pavilion. A model of the country’s first Water Metro also is on show. A special stall showcases the potential and opportunities of the Vizhinjam port. The private sector Samudra Shipyard from Alappuzha highlights investment opportunities within the State’s maritime and boat building sectors.
