Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Bharath calls for strong India-Europe partnership


Andhra Pradesh Industries and Commerce Minister T.G. Bharath speaking at the CII India–Europe Business Partnership Roundtable, in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.

Andhra Pradesh Minister of Industries and Commerce T.G. Bharath has called for a strong India–Europe partnership to lead the next industrial revolution through Industry 5.0, anchored in “technology, talent, and trust.”

Speaking at a session on ‘Enabling Industry 5.0 through New Age Manufacturing’, at the CII India–Europe Business Partnership Roundtable, organised as a part of the 30th Partnership Summit-2025, in Visakhapatnam on November 13, 2025 (Thursday), Mr. Bharath said, “Industry 5.0 is not just an update to Industry 4.0, but a transformation that demands responsible industrialisation and human-centric innovation.”

“We are witnessing dramatic automation, AI-led predictive factories, and clean circular manufacturing. India has the talent and Europe has the precision, and, together, we can do magic,” he said.

Lauding the forward-looking leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and IT Minister N. Lokesh, he said, “Andhra Pradesh is already undergoing a technology-driven transformation. Policy 4.0 has strengthened the four pillars of the State’s industrial ecosystem.” He emphasised the need to build green manufacturing corridors and unlock the MSME productivity.

Mr. Bharath invited collaborations to make Andhra Pradesh a living laboratory for Industry 5.0, where innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity converge.

Other speakers at the session included Dr. Edith N. Nordmann, Chairman, Netherlands India Chamber of Commerce and Trade (NICCT), and Managing Partner, ACG International, The Netherlands; Amit Gossain, Managing Director, Kone Elevator India Pvt. Ltd., India; Håkan Kingstedt, Senior Advisor, Monemus AB, Partner, KIGO Consultants & Advisors, and Chairman, Sweden India Business Council, Sweden; and Dr. Julie Reviere, Country Director, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) – India, Germany.

The session was chaired by Kamal Bali, Chairman, CII Multinational Committee, and Managing Director & President, Volvo Group-India.

The discussion explored how India’s scale and agility, combined with Europe’s technological precision, could accelerate smart manufacturing, drive sustainability, and create new opportunities for the private sector collaboration in closing the technology adoption gap.
