The teaser of Akhanda 2: Thaandavam, Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna’s upcoming film with Boyapati Srinu, was released on Tuesday (June 10) on the occasion of the superstar’s 65th birthday. The film, marking the fourth reunion between Balakrishna and Srinu, is a sequel to their 2021 film Akhanda.
The teaser shows the return of Akhanda Rudra Sikandar Ghora. “Even the God of Death obeys the commands of my Lord Shiva. Do you think you could get away? And take the lives of the innocent?” says Akhanda to his enemy, as he carries and throws almost ten gunmen from his shoulders before spinning his trishul around his neck to slash through a line-up of men. Like the first film, the sequel too promises to be an over-the-top supernatural action entertainer.
Akhanda featured Balakrishna in dual roles, as a demi-God with superhuman powers, and as a good samaritan who vows to eradicate factionalism.
Akhanda 2: Thaandavam also features Samyutha and Aadhi Pinisetty in pivotal roles. The film’s technical team includes music composer S Thaman, cinematographers C Ramprasad and Santoshh D Detakae, editor Tammiraju, and art director AS Prakash.
Produced by Raam Achanta and Gopichand Achanta under the prestigious 14 Reels Plus Banner, the film is presented by M Tejaswini Nandamuri. Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is slated to release in theatres for Dussehra on September 25, 2025.
