The State government on Thursday granted administrative sanction for the second phase of infrastructure development activities at Vilangan Kunnu near here with an outlay of ₹2.45 crore.
The project aims to create amenities and conduct renovation activities at the lush green Vilangan Kunnu. The serene hillock is replete with a wide range of flora and fauna. The project is part of the government’s initiatives to promote unexplored and less-visited destinations.
As per the government order, the second phase of infrastructure activities includes the renovation of the toilet block, old pathway steps, restaurant, seminar hall, open gym, butterfly park, and signage.
The work will be executed through the Department of Tourism and will be completed within 12 months, according to a press release.
