YSRCP SC-wing vows to restore Jagan’s welfare governance

YSRCP State coordinator Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy alleged that the government was foisting false cases on those who questioned it.

The government was systematically creating caste, religious and communal conflicts, and even resorting to character assassination. “We have never seen such a disastrous rule. Let’s unite and confront this head-on,” he said, addressing a state-level executive meeting of its Scheduled Caste (SC) wing at the party’s central office on Monday. The meeting was organised to strategise on strengthening party organisation and advancing Dalit empowerment.

Mr. Ramakrishna Reddy stressed on strengthening organisational structure, unite as one and get ready for the next elections. The YSRCP was paying special attention to the welfare of party workers. Completing committee appointments at the earliest and staying in connect with the people was underlined. “Strengthen the party from grassroots, and prepare for elections to secure a historic victory. Let’s aim for a bigger victory than before—it’s a historic necessity, he said.

The TDP-JSP-BJP coalition government was resorting to oppressive rule, and foisting false cases and harassing the opposition parties. The YSRCP rank and file have to resist propaganda and highlight government failures. Let’s give those who troubled us a taste of their own medicine. Even the alliance leaders have begun to realise this, he said.

Former Minister for Home Affairs Taneti Vanita lauded Mr. Jagan for having appointed five Dalits to his Cabinet, including a Deputy Chief Minister, and denounced the coalition’s propaganda.

Former ministers Adimulapu Suresh and Merugu Nagarjuna praised Mr. Jagan’s visionary leadership and vowed to protect the Ambedkar Smriti Vanam from the coalition’s privatisation attempts.

Former Minister Gollapalli Surya Rao, former MLAs Kambala Jogulu, Talari Venkata Rao, Kiliveti Sanjeevaiah and spokesperson Velpula Ravikumar criticised the coalition’s welfare failures.
