The Peenya police have arrested a 19-year-old youth who along with his associates allegedly abducted a construction labourer and killed him in a bid to rob him on April 6.
The deceased Vikas from Bihar was walking back home when the accused noticed him and abducted him near Chikkagollarahalli. He was taken to an isolated place, assaulted with an iron rod, and stabbed. He later succumbed to the wounds.
The accused then dumped the body and fled. The police, based on CCTV footage, identified the accused as Santosh Kumar along with his associate, a juvenile. Efforts are on to track down others.
