Malayalam actor Nazriya Nazim has revealed that she has been \u201cstruggling with emotional well being and personal challenges\u201d. Nazriya, who made a comeback to the Malayalam film industry after a five-year gap with the crime comedy Sookshmadarshini<\/i><\/a>, took to social media to explain her absence from all platforms.<\/p>\n Nazriya, wife of Malayalam superstar Fahadh Faasil, wrote a long post, apologising to her friends for not responding to them. \u201cI apologise to my friends for not explaining why I went missing and for not picking their calls or replying to their messages,\u201d Nazriya wrote.<\/p>\n \u201cI am truly sorry for any worry or inconvenience I may have caused. I did shut down completely,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n Nazriya turned 30 on December 30, 2024. \u201cI missed celebrating my Birthday and the New Year. I also didn\u2019t celebrate the success of \u2018Sookshmadarshini\u2019 and other important moments of my life,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n Sookshmadarshini<\/i>, also starring Basil Joseph in the lead role, was directed by debutant MC Jithin. Nazriya\u2019s garnered praise for her performance as a housewife with sharp investigative skills. The movie hit the screens on November 22, 2024. <\/p>\n Her efforts in Sookshmadarshini<\/i> won the joint Best Actor Award (female) along with Rima Kallingal in the Kerala Critics Film Awards on April 15, 2025 (Tuesday).<\/p>\n \u201cI am thrilled that I received the award.
