Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu wishes to see the capital region emerge as the medical hub of the State, and to achieve this goal, more hospitals should come to Vijayawada, said MP Kesineni Sivanath (Chinni) on Sunday after after inaugurating the Dr. N. Subba Rao Centre for Cardiac Medicine, on Prakasam Road in Suryaraopeta.
He said that efforts are being made to retain medical professionals and assured support to young medical professionals wishing to start their practice in the city.
Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan said that the new hospital is a fitting homage to the legacy of Dr. N. Subba Rao, a respected figure in Vijayawada.
In addition to cardiac care, the hospital, run by Dr Subba Rao’s son, N. Murali Krishna, will also offer services to people with urology problems through its Andhra Urology and Gynaecology Centre. Noted health professionals participated in the inaugural ceremony.
