Noida: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday laid the foundation stone of 15-acre Microsoft campus, that will be built in Noida Sector 145. The new upcoming campus of the IT giant will boost employment generation in the region and especially benefit residents of nearby districts.
The upcoming Microsoft project in Noida will be a Research and Development (R&D) Centre. To be called the India Development Centre, this will be built as the largest R&D for Microsoft outside its Redmond headquarters. Officials said that the support of the Uttar Pradesh government and Noida Authority has been crucial in making this vision a reality.
Laying the foundation stone for the new campus, CM Yogi Adityanath said that Microsoft choosing Noida for its key R&D centre proves that the region has emerged as a preferred investment destination.
“I have been told that Microsoft’s India Development Center will become the largest centre of research and development outside their headquarters (Redmond)… After Hyderabad, now Uttar Pradesh is going to be the home of Microsoft in the form of a new campus,” CM Yogi Adityanath said.

Microsoft’s India Development Centre in Noida will not only enhance India’s technical ecosystem through AI and cloud computing but also advance Prime Minister Narendra Modi ‘s vision more effectively. It will serve as a hub for innovations in AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
Besides laying the foundation stone for Microsoft’s campus, CM Yogi also inaugurated the AI Engineering Center of MAQ Software and Sify Data Center in Noida.
