BJP State unit president B. Y. Vijayendra met Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Wednesday.
Announcing this through a social media post, Mr. Vijayendra said he met Mr. Shah to seek his blessings on the New Year day.
Mr. Vijayendra said he had briefed Mr. Shah about the programmes being taken up by the party State unit to strengthen the organisation in the coming days and the problems that had arisen in the State due to the alleged maladministration of the Congress regime besides the allegations against some of the Ministers. “He guided me on how to go about with respect to these issues,” the BJP State chief said.
Mr. Vijayendra said his meeting with Mr. Shah had increased his confidence and provided him enthusiasm.
Interestingly, Mr. Vijayendra’s meeting with Mr. Shah comes at a time when his opponents in the party are trying to put him down by saying that the organisation was yet to gain strength under his leadership.
