VHP flays attack on Chilkur temple chief priest

Vishwa Hindu Parishad has condemned the attack on the chief priest of Chilkur Temple, Rangarajan, by a fringe group.

In a strongly worded statement, VHP regional president B. Narasimha Murthy termed the incident as an attack on the entire Hindu community. He demanded the State government to constitute a special investigation team to probe the incident and punish the culprits in most stringent manner.

Stating that that anti-social elements behind the organisation that had indulged in the attack should be identified, Mr. Murthy wanted adequate security to be provided to the chief priest.
