The Cyber Crime Police have taken two more individuals into custody in connection with a case involving the posting of obscene and derogatory content on social media platforms targeting the wife of the arrested Kannada actor Darshan and her family.
The case was registered based on a complaint filed on December 24, 2025, by Vijayalakshmi, wife of actor Darshan and a resident of Hosakerehalli in Bengaluru.

In her complaint, she alleged that more than 18 people had been posting obscene, defamatory and derogatory posts, comments and messages against her and her family on various social media platforms.
Based on the complaint, the Cyber Crime Police Station registered a case and launched an investigation.
During the initial phase of the probe, police secured two accused persons who had allegedly posted obscene messages online and subjected them to further inquiry.
As the investigation progressed, on January 4, 2026, Cyber Crime Police took into custody two additional accused identified as Nagaraj Gullappa Talwar (23), petrol bunk manager and a resident of Keshavpur, Hubballi and Prashanth Talwar (23), auditor and a resident of Yalavalli, Dharwad.
Further investigation is on to trace and apprehend the remaining accused involved in the case, the police said.
