The RSS on Wednesday announced that it would celebrate its centenary year by organising several events for 12 months – from the Vijayadasami Day in 2025.
B. Prakash, outreach secretary, RSS, told reporters at the organisation’s headquarters in Chetpet that five events had been planned should be completed between the Vijayadasami day in 2025 and before the Vijayadasami Day 2026.
“Uniformed RSS workers will organise rallies or public meetings across India, including Tamil Nadu, on Vijayadasami Day. Further, for three weeks between November and December, RSS volunteers will reach out to people door-to-door in every basti and mandal, and share with them the news of RSS completing 100 years. We will announce the dates soon for Tamil Nadu. Also, a Hindu Unity Conference will be held in every basti before next February to promote Samajik Sathbhav…,” he said.
Mr. Prakash further said, “A State-level conference for youth – college students and IT professionals – will be held to promote patriotism, good values and habits, and apprise them of the work done by the RSS and enable them to join the Sangh.”
Mr. Prakash said that RSS and the Sangh Parivar workers would be trained in five types of transformation – social harmony; speaking proudly about family, forefathers and family deity; protection of environment; speaking in mother tongue; promote Indian traditional attire and culture; and citizens’ duty.
