The city police will enforce restrictions for entry to Chamundi Hills during New Year eve.
According to a statement from the office of City Police Commissioner here, entry to Chamundi Hills will barred after 7 p.m. on December 31 from Uttanahalli Cross Gate, Devivana Gate, Chamundi Hills steps gate and Lalitha Mahal Gate.
Entry to Chamundi Hills will be prohibited from 8 p.m. on December 31 to 6 a.m. on January 1 through Tavarekatte Gate.
Carrying of food items and liquor bottles to Chamundi Hills has also been prohibited.
Visitors to Chamundi Hills have been asked to return after 9 p.m. from Tavarekatte Gate.
The restrictions, however, are not applicable to residents of Chamundi Hills and residents of villages in its vicinity
