YSRCP leader Perni Venkataramaiah (Nani) filed a complaint with the Director-General of Police on Friday with regard to the case registered against him in connection with the visit of party president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy to the Guntur chilli yard on February 19.
In a letter to the DGP, the YSRCP leader said he was not present at the yard, or in Guntur, on the said date, and termed the allegations against him as βcompletely false and driven by vested interestsβ aimed at tarnishing his reputation.
Terming the case as a βmalicious attempt to mislead the authorities and public,β Mr. Nani sought a thorough investigation into the matter and action against those responsible for it.
Calling for fixing accountability, he stressed the importance of safeguarding public trust in law enforcement and the justice system.
