Repaka Lakshmi Reddy, a prominent academic from Nizam College, passed away at a city hospital on Sunday (February 16, 2025) morning. She was 91 and is survived by her sons Sidharth and Vivek.
Her final rites will be held at Vaikunta Mahaprasthanam Crematorium near Whisper Valley at Jubilee Hills at 12 noon on Monday, February 17, 2025.
Lakshmi Reddy was also Nizamβs trustee for his Urdu libraries and published five books on Deccan history. She was also a founder member of Nizam College Past Students Association, a body which she later headed as president.
βProf Laxmi Reddyβs class was not to be missed. Her knowledge of national and state politics was immense,β said Susheel Dhanasri who graduated from Nizam College in 1991.
βHer contribution to the academic field as well as for the Nizam College Past Students Association is immense, unmatched and incomparable,β said Md Ayub Mujahid, secretary of the Nizam College Past Students Association.
