The two-day district dairy farmers’ meet will begin at Gregorian Convention Centre at Punnapra in Alappuzha on December 16. It will be inaugurated by Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister J. Chinchurani at 10.30 a.m. On the occasion, Fisheries Minister Saji Cherian will felicitate the best dairy farmers in the district. The meet is organised under the aegis of Punnapra Milk Producers Cooperative Society. A dairy development seminar, workshops, exhibition, dairy quiz competition and cultural programmes will be organised as part of the meet. The valedictory function will be inaugurated by Agriculture Minister P. Prasad on December 17 at 12 p.m.
