Mar Ivanios College here, as part of its 75th year celebrations, hosted a lecture by Robert Feil, Professor of Biochemistry from the University of Tübingen, Germany, on Thursday.
The lecture was organised by the Centre for Tumor Immunology and Microenvironment, PG and Research Department of Zoology of the college. Prof. Feil delivered an in-depth talk on Mechanosensitive NO-cGMP Signaling in the Cardiovascular System (Platelets and VSMCs) and its role in Pericytes of the Tumor Vasculature.
Building on this academic exchange, Mar Ivanios College also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Tübingen, Germany. This collaboration focusses on advancing cancer research using transgenic mice models to study the role of nitric oxide-cyclic GMP in immune surveillance and vascular normalisation.
