A 23-year-old female intern of KIMS-Bollineni hospital, who battled for life for eleven days after she allegedly self-administered a drug, breathed her last, in Rajamahendravaram, in the early hours of Friday (April 4, 2025).
On March 24, the victim had allegedly attempted to end her life, accusing KIMS-Bollineni Hospital Assistant General Manager Deepak of sexual assault and intimidation. The AGM was arrested on March 26, 2025.
East Godavari district in-charge Medical and Health Officer Dr. N. Vasundhara told The Hindu; “The KIMS-Bollineni hospital doctors have declared that the victim breathed her last at around 1.30 a.m. on Friday (April 4, 2025). The body has been sent to Government General Hospital, Rajamahendravaram, for the inquest.” The victim was treated in the KIMS-Bollineni hospital, where she attempted to end her life.
A native of Eluru district, the victim enrolled in the hospital as an intern as part of her B. Pharmacy in a private college in Rajamahendravaram city.
