A 32-year-old home-maker was found dead in her house in Sambra in Belagavi on Sunday.
Relatives of Savita Maruti Jogani have complained to the police that she died under suspicious circumstances and demanded an inquiry.
They complained to the police that her husband Maruti Jogani, a government schoolteacher, tortured her for several years. The couple were married six years ago.
A case has been registered.
