Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday (March 22 2025), announced a significant leap in the State’s infrastructure development, with the successful implementation of the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) Phase-1 project. The initiative aims to upgrade 6,000 kilometres of roads across the State at an investment of ₹41,730 crore.

In a post on X, Mr. Fadnavis highlighted the project’s progress, stating, “With ₹25,875 crore financial closure and the incredible support of banks such as HUDCO, IIFCL, Canara Bank, PNB, UCO, BOM, NABFID, PSB, and SBICAPS, this project paves the way for a stronger and more connected Maharashtra.”

He added that the initiative has surpassed expectations, achieving 5% more progress in record time under the State’s 100 day program.

The Chief Minister also revealed that infrastructure projects worth ₹1 lakh crore are slated for completion this year, marking a transformative phase for Maharashtra’s development landscape.

Mr. Fadnavis posted it on X a day after chairing a review meeting of the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC). During the meeting, he emphasised that road development would be prioritised only in areas where it is deemed necessary, ensuring quality work and efficient resource utilisation.
