Children’s Parliament held in Kochi


More than 200 selected children, as “parliamentarians” from across 102 community development societies, to be given training for the Children’s Parliament at the council hall on December 8.

A ‘Children’s Parliament’ was organised for students of Kochi on Sunday. The event, organised by Kudumbashree, began by offering homage to late Sitaram Yechuri, former CPI(M) general secretary.

Discussions on Digital India, healthcare programmes, child-friendly panchayats, and education-for-all campaigns were held.

P. R. Ranish, chairperson of the development standing committee of the Kochi Corporation, inaugurated the programme. Anusree Rajesh, Kudumbashree district mission coordinator T.M. Rajeena, K.C. Anumol, Vinu Joseph and Mary Mini spoke.
