Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Friday (March 28, 2025) announced that the Union Cabinet approved the Kosi Mechi intra-state river link project in Bihar of ₹6,282 crore.
“By linking these rivers, flooding can be managed and irrigation can be improved,” he said. ”2.1 lakh hectares of land will get additional irrigation facilities. in Kharif season,” he added
Mr. Vaishnaw also announced the approval of 120km four lane Patna Arrah Sasaram highway corridor of ₹3,712 crore.
Bihar polls will take place in November 2025.
