T.N. team to attend World Economic Forum meeting in Davos

A delegation from Tamil Nadu, led by Industries Minister T.R.B. Rajaa, is set to attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2025 in Davos. The delegation aims to showcase the State’s potential to global corporate leaders under the theme, “Bullish On Tamil Nadu.”

During their time at Davos, the Tamil Nadu team will engage with potential partners and strengthen discussions with global leaders across various industries. It is learnt that approximately 50 meetings and engagements have already been scheduled for the four-day event. Plans are on to mobilise Tamil entrepreneurs from Europe as voluntary ambassadors of the State.

Tamil Nadu’s Industries Secretary V. Arun Roy said: “Our commitment to policy continuity, sustained over several years, ensures that when we sign MoUs, we see them through by providing streamlined approvals and creating the ideal ecosystem for industries to thrive. At the WEF Annual Meeting in Davos, we will communicate to global investors how our tailor-made policies, which we implement effectively, enable companies to invest in Tamil Nadu with optimism and transform those investments into tangible, long-term success.”

Mr. Rajaa said, “As we engage with global leaders, investors and decision-makers, we are showcasing our State’s unparalleled strengths – from being India’s automotive and electronics hub to leading the way in renewable energy, skilling and knowledge-driven industries.”

He then said, “The #BullishOnTN campaign draws inspiration from the majestic bull, a symbol of strength, resilience, and momentum that embodies Tamil Nadu’s spirit. Our mascot, the raging bull, perfectly sends out the message to the world to join the bull run that is propelling the State, and thus the country, towards becoming a global economic powerhouse, far outpacing our peers in India and positioning us alongside global manufacturing destinations in the West and Asia.”
