Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai sought to know how the Kerala Chief Minister could deny the spirituality that Sree Narayana Guru propagated through his 70-odd books and when the Sanatana Dharma belief system and philosophy were being followed in each of the 42 temples founded by him.
He was inaugurating the three-day State meet of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) here on Friday. Mr. Pillai observed that Kerala had not yet acknowledged the spiritual side of Sree Narayana Guru the way it deserved.
“Guru had declared that Adi Sankaracharya’s religion was our religion. He had written around 70 books, and he had not failed to mention about spirituality in any of them. How can the Chief Minister deny that spirituality? Mr. Pillai asked.
ABVP general secretary Virendra Singh Solanki delivered the keynote address. State president Vaisakh Sadasivan presided.
