Gukesh vs Ding World Chess Championship 2024 Game 10 LIVE: Match tied at 4.5-4.5 as both look for breakthrough

Ding Liren vs D. Gukesh Game 10 face-off on cards

Welcome to a bright and sunny Sentosa, the little island off the southern coast of mainland Singapore that has caught the world’s attention as the host of the World chess championship. After a day’s rest, the champion Ding Liren and challenger D. Gukesh will face off for Game 10 in about half an hour. The match is tantalisingly poised at 4.5-4.5.

The player who scores 7.5 points will be crowned the champion. If the score remains 7-7 at the end of 14 games of classical chess, there will be a tie-breaker of speed chess.

The last six games were draws, but most of them produced fighting, fascinating chess. How will Game 10 pan out? We will soon find out.

Ding will have white pieces. It should be interesting to find out what the opening is going to be.

Will it be a new day, a new opening, yet again?
