Assamese filmmaker Rajesh Bhuyan has confirmed that ‘Roi Roi Binale’, the final project by the late singer Zubeen Garg, will be released across India on October 31. The film, a tribute to Garg’s immense talent and his love for Assamese music, will feature the singer’s original voice.Filmmaker shares details about the projectSpeaking to ANI, Rajesh Bhuyan said, “We were working on this movie for the last three years. The story and music of the movie were by Zubeen Garg… This was the first musical Assamese movie… We had completed almost all the work on the movie, except for the background music…”.Honouring Zubeen Garg’s wish and voiceHe further added, “Zubeen Garg wanted this movie to be released on 31st October, so we have decided to release it on the same date, not just in Assam, but nationwide… Zubeen Garg’s voice is almost 80-90% clear, as we had recorded it using a lapel mic. So we will use his original voice only.”Allegations of poisoning in SingaporeAccording to official police records, the late singer’s bandmate Shekhar Jyoti Goswami has alleged that Zubeen Garg was “poisoned” in Singapore. He further claimed that Garg’s manager Siddharth Sharma and the festival organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta deliberately chose an international location to conceal their alleged plot.Arrests made in connection to the caseAs investigations into the famous singer’s passing continue, the police have arrested both Siddharth Sharma and Shyamkanu Mahanta. Additionally, Shekhar Jyoti Goswami and co-singer Amritprava Mahanta have also been taken into custody in connection with the case.Zubeen Garg’s demise in SingaporeZubeen Garg passed away in Singapore on September 19 following an alleged drowning incident. He was attending the Northeast India Festival at the time.
