Pull-ups to ghar ka khana: Here’s how Sanya Malhotra underwent a physical transformation for ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ – WATCH VIDEO | Hindi Movie News – The Times of India

Sanya Malhotra who is seen currently in ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ is getting a lot of love and appreciation for the film. The actress who was last seen in ‘Mrs’ underwent a complete transformation for the role. The film stars Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rohit Saraf along with Sanya. Now Sanya’s trainer, Tridev Pandey, recently revealed that the actor set herself a “small goal” of three months in preparation for this film. In an Instagram video, he shared, “She weighed 56 kilos. Sanya works out regularly and eats simple, home-cooked food. Then we gave ourselves a goal of three months. Weight loss and fat loss. Along with that, we decided to achieve some goals, develop some movement and skills.Elaborating on the plan, Pandey explained, “So, we started learning pull-ups. During this journey, we performed a variety of exercises, including toe push-ups, full range of motion exercises, and handstands. Whenever you are going through a transformation, be sure to set small goals and acquire new skills. The world is obsessed with weight loss, but if you learn something new, maybe you can definitely achieve something more.” He shared a video and wrote in the caption, “This transformation with @sanyamalhotra_ is very special to me. We’ve been training together for 8 years, and for many roles where sometimes she needs to gain weight and lose weight and come out stronger every time. But For this role, we pushed boundaries and trained with a different approach and because of her dedication and motivation, we achieved exactly what was needed. Results are never enough, satisfaction is never complete but what matters is giving our best every single time.Clips from his post showcased Sanya performing bodyweight workouts like push-ups, supported handstands, and pull-ups. While Pandey didn’t detail the end results of the three-month program, the fact that she managed to learn pull-ups, a feat demanding immense overall body strength, has been a milestone.Highlighting the broader message of her journey, consultant dietitian Kanikka Malhotra also revealed Sanya’s emphasis went far beyond quick physical results. “This approach fosters resilience, prevents burnout, and supports long-term well-being beyond the screen,” she said, stressing how her focus on acquiring new skills represents fitness as an ongoing practice rather than a short-term fix.She further pointed to Sanya’s preference for everyday “ghar ka khana,” saying it anchors her lifestyle in nourishing, home-cooked meals instead of fleeting diet fads. “In a world obsessed with glamorising extreme fitness, Sanya’s story critiques the fleeting nature of celebrity fitness and instead champions a sustainable, culturally relevant path that prioritises holistic health, genuine progress, and lasting impact,” Malhotra added.
